Bootstrap meets scattering experimental data.
In this talk, I will discuss how to bootstrap the 〈ππ∣ππ〉 scattering S-matrix. We impose both theoretical constraints (analyticity, crossing symmetry, and unitarity) and experimental constraints, i.e. the scattering amplitude at low energy should agree with existing experimental data. Using numerical methods, we construct a full-fledged S-matrix that satisfies all these constraints. From this S-matrix, we predict the existence of an isospin-2 tetraquark meson at 2GeV, a previously unknown particle.
