New Objects and Concepts at Large Quantum Number.
Recent years have seen an exploration of the properties of low-lying states of strongly-coupled quantum systems at large quantum number, in which the system is typically well-approximated by the semiclassical behavior of some large-quantum-number effective theory. In this talk I will discuss some progress on understanding different universality classes of large-charge behaviors in conformal theories and beyond. Included will be discussion of new universality classes involving large fermion charge and nonrelativistic CFT.
