New Non-Perturbative Methods for Black Holes and Chiral Field Theories.
I present new methods and progress in two field-theoretic contexts with deep connections to quantum gravity. The first is a black hole microstate construction program in the emblematic holographic duality involving super-Yang-Mills. The second concerns the consistency of chiral field theories through the lens of a quantum version of bordism known as topological modular forms; a new perspective on the Nielsen–Ninomiya theorem will also be discussed.
