The Holar Wind.
String theory black holes can carry a variety of brane charges. The background branes can be emitted as Hawking radiation, generating a black hole analogue of the solar wind. The emission amplitude is universally expressed in terms of the change in the black hole entropy during the emission process. Several examples will be presented, and we will then discuss what these rare processes can tell us about black hole structure and dynamics.
