Double-scaled SYK and holography
Vladimir Narovlansky, Princeton University
We will discuss a double scaling of the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) model. The SYK model in the usual large N scaling, is tractable at low energies, where it is known to have interesting properties such as being maximally chaotic and having a holographic description. We will see that in double-scaled SYK, exact results can be obtained at all energies, including the full four-point function. In particular, in the appropriate limit, these results agree with those obtained from the Schwarzian theory. There is an interesting algebraic structure revealed in the solution, which deforms the usual SL(2,R) symmetry. We will discuss how this structure provides a holographic description deforming that of AdS_2, which is equivalent to the full double-scaled SYK.
